Image Editor
Open a PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP or BMP image up to 25 MB to crop, rotate, resize, adjust, annotate and export it. It is decoded and edited on this device — it is never uploaded.
What this editor really does — and what it does not
- Rotation, mirroring and cropping are exact: pixels move, nothing is resampled. Resizing is the browser's own resampler, so enlarging interpolates between the pixels you have — it cannot invent detail, and it is not an AI upscaler.
- One scale is applied to both axes, so nothing is stretched. The output is capped at 16 MP and 8192 px per side; an export over either is refused with the largest scale that fits rather than quietly shrunk.
- Input is capped at 25 MB and 16 MP, and a file over either is refused with its real numbers. The format is read from the file's own header bytes, so a renamed .png is refused.
- Every download is encoded again from the pixels on screen, even when you changed nothing: re-exporting an untouched JPEG is a second lossy generation, and this tool cannot copy a JPEG byte for byte. PNG is the only lossless choice here.
- The browser decodes the source, so GIF and animated WebP arrives as its first frame only, an animated file loses every frame after it, and no metadata is carried over — no EXIF, no camera, no GPS, no timestamps, no ICC profile. Output is untagged sRGB, so a wide-gamut photo can shift slightly. The one EXIF field that changes your picture is the orientation flag, and the browser applies it on the way in.
- There are no layers, no PSD, no selection tools, no healing, no AI and no raw (HEIC/AVIF/RAW) support. Annotations are baked into the same single canvas, they keep the width they were drawn with, and text is always drawn upright whatever rotation the image is at.
- Adjustments and the filter are applied per pixel in this tab, after the resize and before the annotations, so they are baked into the export rather than being a view-only effect. An edit on a 16 MP image allocates about 61 MB of pixel buffer and takes a moment.
- The file is named for what it is: <image>-<width>x<height>, then the rotation, a mirror, the filter, "adjusted" and "annotated" when they are in the file. Caps: 25 MB in, 16 MP and 8192 px out, a 8 px minimum per side.
