Pick a compression preset — Light, Balanced, or Strong — to balance file size and visual quality, optionally choose an output format (Auto prefers WebP or AVIF where your browser supports it, otherwise JPEG, PNG or WebP), and optionally resize to a 1920 or 1280 px longest edge that never upscales.
Compression and resizing run entirely in a Web Worker on your device — nothing is uploaded to any server. The tool shows you a before-and-after size comparison along with the exact file size reduction percentage. If compressing would make the result bigger, your original is returned unchanged byte for byte, so the output is never larger than the upload.
