About this tool
Read a PDF’s metadata — page count, title, author, creator, producer and creation/modified dates — without leaving the browser.
PDF Metadata Viewer reads the metadata a PDF actually stores — the page count, plus title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer and creation/modification dates when the document records them. It reads the standard Info dictionary, the common XMP fields, and any extra or custom entries, and lists exactly what it finds. Nothing is invented: fields a file doesn't store are skipped rather than shown as empty.
The inspection runs entirely in your browser using the same PDF engine that powers the page renderer — the file is never uploaded. This is a read-only viewer: it's for checking the provenance of documents you receive, auditing workflows, or simply spotting what creators a file claims.
