PDF Overlay

PDF Overlay stamps one PDF on top of another. Open the base document that receives the stamp, open the stamp document — a logo, letterhead, confidentiality label, footer or an approved stamp page — and choose where it lands: stretched across the whole page, or fitted and anchored to the centre, top or bottom, left or right. Every preset except stretch scales the stamp to fit the page with its aspect ratio kept, so a small stamp grows to fill the sheet; the X and Y offsets then nudge it in PDF points, positive right and up, and opacity runs from a faint 5% watermark to solid 100%.

You choose which pages get stamped — the whole document or a range like 1-3,7 — and whether the stamp's pages cycle (base page 1 takes stamp page 1, page 2 takes stamp page 2, and so on, wrapping around) or whether its first page is repeated everywhere. A live preview shows the first page you are about to stamp, with the stamp drawn at the exact size, position and transparency it will get in the download, and a live readout gives the geometry in PDF points. If an offset would push the stamp completely off the page, the run is refused and names the page; if it only hangs over an edge, the preview says so before you export. A page that carries its own page rotation is stamped in that page's own coordinates, so the stamp turns with the page exactly as the page's text does.

Be clear about what the output is. The stamp page is embedded into each target page and drawn above the base content, so an ordinary reader cannot lift it off — but it is a real stamp, not a flattened picture. It is not a merge: nothing is renumbered or joined into one reading flow, and the base keeps its page count, text, links, annotations and form fields. If the stamp itself is built from real PDF text, that text is embedded as page content and stays visible, extractable and searchable in most readers. It is also not a way to hide content — the page underneath is completely unchanged, so this is the wrong tool for redaction; use PDF Redact for that. Because the result is a re-saved file, a digital signature on the base document does not survive the export. Both files are processed in your browser and neither is uploaded. Each file can be up to 100 MB and 200 pages, and password-protected files must be unlocked with PDF Unlock first.
