Auto-Redact PDF is a privacy tool that finds and permanently blackens every occurrence of a word or phrase across a PDF document in one click. Instead of scanning pages by eye, type a name, account number, email address, or any sensitive term and the tool instantly highlights every matching occurrence—then exports a PDF where each match is covered with a solid black box. This is ideal for scrubbing personal data from large documents: names in contracts, email addresses in shared reports, payment details in invoices, or regulated identifiers that must not be exposed.

The search runs directly on the document's text layer using precise word positioning, so matches are detected on every page, even inside dense paragraphs. Redaction boxes are padded slightly around each match to fully cover the glyphs.
